About the Program
The Bioethics MA is fully an online program from the OSU College of Medicine. This 30 credit hour interdisciplinary program offers a broad exposure of the history, topics and issues of bioethics, drawing on the strengths and expertise of our diverse faculty and OSU resources.
The MA program is an ideal fit for professionals in healthcare and biomedical fields, as well as biomedical and basic science research. Such fields include:
- social work
- veterinary medicine
- genetic counseling
- public policy
Graduate and professional students in any bioethics related fields are also welcome.
Part-time and full-time (at least eight credit hrs per semester) program options are available. Most part-time students will likely complete the program in two to three years by taking four to five classes a year. Ambitious full-time students may complete the program in as little as three semesters (completion in one year will include Summer as the third semester).
Applicants are strongly encouraged to visit the University’s Online Programs State Authorization webpage or email us at email@example.com to find out whether their program of interest is available in their home state. Please check back often, as the College and University are aggressively pursuing authorization in all 50 states. Residents outside of the U.S. are not able to participate in distance learning programs.
