About us
Artificial Intelligence (Al) is a technology that focuses on understanding and creating computer algorithms that can perform tasks which usually require human intelligence. In recent years, Al has been piloted to assist and replace repetitive, dull, and labor-intensive tasks, augment and analyze digital pathology images, to diagnose diseases including early detection, and to reduce medical errors due to human fatigue.
The program responds to developments in the field and to also address students' growing interests. The program is designed for both graduate students with computer science backgrounds who want to learn Al applications in healthcare, and graduate students with biomedicine backgrounds or health professionals who want to learn Al technology. The certificate program will be offered fully online to allow for remote attendance.
