About us
The Foundations of Public Health certificate and minor program teaches working professionals, career changers, and recent graduates content covering the spectrum of public health practice, including biostatistics, epidemiology, health behavior and health promotion, health and public health systems, and environmental health sciences. This 13-credit program will be offered online, with all required courses offered asynchronously. The curriculum emphasizes the following areas: applied quantitative methods, the environmental impact on human health, epidemiology and its use in disease investigations, program planning and evaluation and the organization of public health and healthcare systems. Current Ohio State graduate students may pursue either the graduate certificate or minor. Working professionals or non-degree students may pursue the graduate certificate.
