About us

The Master of Energy Sustainability (MES) is an interdisciplinary program tailored for impactful careers across the spectrum of energy resource and technology sectors. Graduates from the program will be prepared to reshape the energy economy towards a more sustainable future. All students are welcome to participate, as systems thinking is encouraged and no single background or experience is required. Students in the program will select courses from across multiple Ohio State colleges for a total of 34 semester credits, building a holistic understanding of energy systems, including: the sources of energy generation, methods for energy transmission and distribution, and the intricacies of demand, utilization, and impacts. The program culminates in experiential learning opportunities, which will help participants utilize knowledge gained through the program.
